I'm trying to think of a metaphor i like to use in my poem. It's not quite as easy as it sounds, so far these are my choices...
*A problem is a locked container for its solution.
*Time is a resource.
*Competition is war.
*Opportunities are open paths.
....lately im thinking i will probably use the "Competition is war" metaphor, just because i'm really looking forward to hockey season! (only 32 days until practice starts!)
< If you don't already know, this is Vladislav Tretiak. Tretiak was born on April 25th 1952, I was born April 25th 1990. How cool is that! Tretiak is considered the best goaltender of all time. He played for the Soviet Union and he also played in the 1972 Winter Olympics, in which the Soviets took the gold medal. He also runs a goalie school in Toronto, Ontario. The Vladislav Tretiak Elite School of Goaltending is considered one of the most physically punishing goaltending schools in the world, and a student can be refused admittance if he or she is not in top physical condition. Tretiak was hired as a goaltender coach for the Chicago Blackhawks, where he has coached some of the top goalies of the past 15 years, such as Ed Belfour, Dominik Hasek, and Jocelyn Thibault.
